ASSP Safety 2026: RefrigiWear debuts new ThermaSync heated jacket, gloves for cold storage

RefrigiWear introduced a new heated workwear system designed for employees working in cold storage facilities and other low-temperature environments at the Safety 2026 Conference & Expo.

The show was hosted by The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) June 15-17 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

The company announced its new ThermaSync Jacket and ThermaSync Glove, which work together as a connected heated clothing system.

According to RefrigiWear, the system is designed to help workers stay warm, comfortable, and focused while working in temperatures as low as -15 degrees Fahrenheit.

The ThermaSync line combines battery-powered heating technology with insulated workwear and a connection between the jacket and gloves that allows heat to extend from the body to the hands.

Connected warmth from jacket to gloves

The ThermaSync Jacket features heating elements across the chest and back, along with adjustable high and low heat settings that let workers adjust warmth based on activity levels and working conditions.

"Cold environments create real challenges for workers, affecting comfort, dexterity, productivity and job performance. Worn together, ThermaSync products create a connected system that maintains consistent warmth across the body and hands," said Ryan Silberman, RefrigiWear CEO.

Even without the heating system activated, the jacket is insulated for temperatures down to -15°F. RefrigiWear said the garment also features water-resistant and abrasion-resistant materials, multiple storage pockets, and an adjustable hem to help block cold air.

The jacket is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack that can provide up to eight hours of heat on a single charge.

Designed for material handling environments

The ThermaSync Glove is also rated for temperatures down to -15 degrees Fahrenheit and connects to the jacket via magnetic connectors that draw power directly from it.

RefrigiWear said the design provides additional warmth across the back of the hand and fingers, helping workers maintain comfort and dexterity in cold environments.

The glove features a waterproof design, a synthetic leather palm for grip during material-handling tasks, and touchscreen-compatible thumb, index, and middle fingers, allowing workers to use mobile devices and scanners without removing their gloves.
