CLO ratings

Insulation performance is measured by CLO ratings - which is a unit of thermal resistance that indicates insulating ability. The higher the CLO value, the higher the amount of warmth a piece of clothing provides.

To determine temperature ratings, CLO factors, Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET) and the time or duration of a task are considered. MET levels are categorized into 3 groups:

Some warehouses and facilities are more manual in nature, leading to higher MET levels, while others rely on automation, resulting in lower MET levels.

GloWear 8390X Hi-Vis Winter Jacket with Heat Reflective Lining has a CLO rating of 3.21 and is rated to -55 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures depending on activity levels.

This high visibility jacket is perfect for those working in construction, transportation, baggage handling, municipalities or work near moving vehicles.
