Yale Lift Truck Technologies announced its updated ERC45-70VG2 4,500- to 7,000-pound capacity electric cushion tire lift truck at MODEX 2026.
The trade show was hosted by MHI April 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Designed for high-intensity warehousing applications, Yale said the ERC-VG2 series takes elements from the original ERC-VG model and enhances them with next-generation technology and ergonomic improvements that can help boost operational efficiency.
The redesigned truck features a 34% larger through-mast window compared to the previous model for improved forward visibility.
In addition to improved forward visibility, clear sightlines, and a near-zero turn radius help operators navigate tight spaces efficiently. The operator compartment is available with suspended and air ride seat options to reduce shock and vibration transmitted to the operator, intuitive controls, and flip-up armrests to help reduce operator fatigue.
Energy consumption was also reduced by up to 20%, according to VDI cycle testing.
Yale said the configurability of its ERC-VG2 series gives customers the flexibility to choose a forklift tailored to their application, duty cycle, and performance goals.
The Intelimatch configuration is optimized for everyday warehouse operations, while Duramatch is engineered for high-throughput, multi-shift environments - enabling customers to precisely balance performance, efficiency, and runtime to meet operational demands.
The ERC-VG2 is also available with a range of battery options, including lead acid, thin plate pure lead, and factory-integrated lithium-ion power.
“Supply chains and warehouse operations run on tight margins, and are pushed to squeeze as much productivity as possible from scarce labor resources,” said Lauren Grady, Yale Lift Truck Technologies product manager. “The ERC-VG2 series pushes electric forklifts forward with key improvements that help operations do more with less and keep total cost of ownership in check.”
The truck is designed for reduced maintenance compared to the previous model, with fully-sealed wet brake axles requiring 20% less service over the life of the truck. When service is necessary, quick-access panels, tool-free service points, and over-the-air diagnostics can boost maintenance efficiency and minimize downtime.
The ERC-VG2 comes standard with the wireless monitoring tier of the Yale Vision telemetry system and the company’s Dynamic Stability System. Operations can also opt up to additional Yale Reliant operator assist system, which reinforces operating best practices with active alerts and interventions.
A five-inch touch screen display provides easy access to critical truck information, including speed, direction of travel, battery life, and load weight. The display also enables users to calibrate performance and troubleshoot any issues with the truck.

Yale Lift Truck Technologies' Reliant operator assist system intervenes automatically to help reinforce operating best practices in real time and prevent forklift accidents.
