ISN establishes over 175 partnerships in energy sector to meet growing demand

ISN recently celebrated establishing partnerships with over 175 energy sector clients using its contractor and supplier information management services to support safe workplaces.

ISN partners with organizations to help strengthen contractor oversight, streamline qualification processes, and support workplace safety initiatives. Within ISNetworld, utility, power generation, renewable energy, and data center clients manage over 2,400 sites and support a network of over 38,500 contractors.

As energy providers race to meet growing demand for rapidly-rising energy consumption, ISN said it is helping organizations increase visibility and manage contractor risk associated with large-scale, fast-moving infrastructure projects.

Additionally, ISN’s partnership with Safety Function, which provides Energy-Based training courses through the LMS platform, is heavily leveraged across these industries, with more than 1,000 contractor companies implementing courses, 8,300 unique users completing training, and 20,000 courses consumed.

The most-frequently administered courses focus on high-energy hazard recognition, direct controls, and assessment protocols designed to help contractors identify hazards and mitigate serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs).

National Grid leverages ISNetworld to reinforce consistent safety expectations

National Grid celebrated a 17-year partnership with ISN in June. Since 2009, National Grid has leveraged ISNetworld to help streamline contractor management processes and improve jobsite safety across operations in New England and New York.

Rather than treating safety as a compliance exercise, the platform helps create a shared understanding of expectations, supports meaningful conversations about risk, and reinforces safe work planning before work begins.

Tools such as RAVS 360 provide insight into how contractor EHS programs are designed and implemented in practice, helping National Grid and its contractors identify strengths, surface gaps, and focus improvement efforts where they matter most.

Training and site visibility tools within ISNetworld further support workers by helping ensure they have the preparation, information, and context needed to perform work safely. By increasing visibility into where and how contractor work is occurring, National Grid said it is better positioned to anticipate challenges, coordinate effectively across the business, and strengthen contractor assurance.
