Damotech unveils DAMO BOLLARD, Low-Profile DAMO SHIELD at MODEX 2026

Damotech introduced two heavy-duty rack guarding products - DAMO BOLLARD and its Low Profile DAMO SHIELD - at MODEX 2026.

The trade show was hosted by MHI April 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Designed for high-traffic warehouses and industrial environments, both products are structurally independent from the protected structure and mechanically anchored to the floor to minimize impact damage.

The launch comes as warehouses across North America face rising forklift traffic, tighter layouts, and evolving layouts, which increase the likelihood of impact events. Damage to building columns or infrastructure can lead to expensive structural repairs, operational disruption, and safety hazards.

Damotech said its expanding product line can provide structurally independent, floor-anchored protection designed to prevent damage before it happens.

DAMO BOLLARD provides high-traffic protection

DAMO BOLLARD is a steel bollard designed to protect critical infrastructure, equipment, and people from forklift and vehicle impacts.

Unlike lightweight or plastic alternatives, DAMO BOLLARD is manufactured from high-strength HSS structural steel and precision-welded to an oversized 10 x 10 inch baseplate for enhanced stability and impact resistance.

A high-strength polyethylene cap seals the top of the bollard, preventing debris, dust, and moisture from entering the steel tube while maintaining a clean, finished appearance.

It is built for demanding environments, including warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, retail facilities, parking garages, airports, and food processing facilities.

Typical applications include safeguarding warehouse equipment, loading dock doors, rack aisles, building columns, storefronts, pedestrian walkways, electrical panels, loading areas, and high-traffic vehicle zones.

Because DAMO BOLLARD is mechanically anchored rather than embedded in concrete, it can be removed for maintenance access or repairs, then reinstalled as facility layouts evolve while still providing stable, long-term protection during daily operations.

Low Profile DAMO SHIELD adds building column protection

Damotech also unveiled a low-profile version of its flagship DAMO SHIELD building protector, an 8-inch-high circular column protector designed to safeguard building columns at floor level from forklift blade and outrigger impacts while also protecting column anchor bolts.

This new configuration complements the existing 36-inch-high DAMO SHIELD, which already provides building column protection in warehouses, distribution centers, parking structures, and manufacturing facilities.

While the 36-inch DAMO SHIELD provides full-height column guarding, the new 8-inch low-profile version is ideal where protection is required strictly at floor level.
