MODEX 2026: Damotech Introduces DAMO GUARD XPS rack column protector

Damotech today unveiled DAMO GUARD XPS, a steel rack column protector featuring an integrated quick-lock system that connects directly into existing upright punch holes.

The company said its system eliminates the need to drill into the rack column while providing robust impact protection.

Damotech is exhibiting its rack safety products at MODEX 2026 in booth B15146. The trade show is being hosted by MHI April 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Redirect impact forces into floor slab

Forklift impacts do more than dent steel - they can lead to recurring rack damage, costly operational downtime, and preventable repairs. Damotech said DAMO GUARD XPS introduces a faster, smarter product to safeguard rack columns in high-traffic environments.

DAMO GUARD XPS locks into existing rack punch holes using an integrated elastomeric insert with purpose-built connectors, eliminating the need to drill or bolt into the upright. The result is a rapid, beam-style connection that delivers frontal and lateral protection without altering the upright.

The guard is anchored to the concrete slab with a screw-type anchor, redirecting impact forces into the floor slab while maintaining controlled upright protection.

The integrated elastomeric insert is made from materials suitable for freezer, cold storage, and washdown environments. Combined with a galvanized option, DAMO GUARD XPS offers long-term durability in moisture-prone or temperature-controlled facilities.

While DAMO GUARD XPS introduces a new attachment approach, it builds on the proven performance of Damotech’s DAMO GUARD flagship column protector. The original DAMO GUARD remains available as a secure, bolted protection option.

Together, DAMO GUARD and DAMO GUARD XPS provide warehouse operators with two robust protection options - one traditional bolt-on product and one featuring an integrated connection system - allowing facilities to choose the approach that best aligns with their operational preferences.
