FANUC America: Rechargeable Battery Unit Kit

Kit for CNC machines eliminates disposables

FANUC America: Rechargeable Battery Unit Kit
By FANUC America
March 6, 2014

A rechargeable battery unit kit by Fanuc provides reliable, long-term backup power for computer numerical control (CNC) automated machine tools.

The environmentally friendly kit eliminates the use of disposable batteries and prevents machine downtime and scrapped parts due to dead batteries. The unit enables one CNC system to be connected from a power source to the servo amplifiers. It contains a rechargeable battery and charging circuit that supplies backup power to absolute pulsecoders and separate type detector units.

The charging circuit monitors the voltage of the rechargeable battery, and charges it when the voltage is low. Because the charging circuit works only when necessary, the battery can be used for up to 10 years.
