Hammerhead Industries: Gear Keeper Retractable Tethering Systems
By Hammerhead Industries
February 7, 2015

Securely hang a bar code scanner or other instrument from a forklift, or at a packaging or assembly line, with Gear Keeper retractable tethering systems by Hammerhead Industries.

The device gives workers easy access to their scanners when needed and stores them when not in use. Balanced retraction requires minimal force to extract and guide the cable to and from the storage position. The instrument retractor line features a durable, compact housing and secures the attached device with a quick connector.

For scanners without lanyard loop, an adhesive attachment pad is included. The units are constructed of nylon line with Kevlar core and 80-pound break strength, stainless steel spring and hardware, and a thumb-controlled locking device that holds scanners at any point during extension.
