Today, the National Safety Council (NSC) began its annual Safety Congress & Expo, one of the largest gatherings of safety professionals in the U.S.
This year’s week-long event is being held Sept. 11-17 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
With NSC hosting over 1,100 exhibitors and expecting over 12,500 EHS professionals, there’s endless opportunities to see new products, make connections, and learn new ideas to help keep workers safe on the job.

NSC’s week-long event includes both a trade show and continuing education units (CEUs).
The Expo floor will be open:
Both Monday and Tuesday will feature dedicated Expo hours with no overlapping professional development seminars. Seminars will be held from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Each Expo day will begin with a keynote presentation from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. in the Sagamore Ballroom.
On Monday, NSC CEO Lorraine Martin will deliver her opening remarks before opening the floor to Indycar and Formula 1 Driver Derek Daly. After surviving one of the most severe crash impacts in racing history, Daly will share how the life-changing experience sparked a groundbreaking safety initiative still influencing motorsports today.
Additionally, the Campbell Executive Forum will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Participants will hear from subject matter experts on how leadership behaviors and engagement strategies influence organizational safety culture, followed by a moderated Q&A. Speakers will include:
On Tuesday, NSC will announce the New Product Showcase winners. David Keeling, OSHA’s Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health, will address attendees.
On Wednesday, Aron Yellott, Founder & Executive Director of The Justin Initiative will share the story of how the tragic death of her husband in a workplace accident called her to action. Yellott will explore how human-centered safety and technology can help organizations reduce risk, empower workers to stop unsafe work, and prevent incidents before they occur.
Alongside over a thousand safety product and service vendors, several places throughout the show will offer additional opportunities to discover the newest innovations and discuss key topics with industry leaders.
