The Böcker Agilo furniture lift’s capabilities were recently demonstrated by a group of art thieves who stole $102 million in French crown jewels from the Louvre.

After determining no one was hurt during the heist, Böcker created a clever ad using a photo of their Agilo furniture lift (which was also stolen) left at the scene of the crime, describing just some of its many features:

“IF YOU’RE IN A HURRY. The Böcker Agilo carries your treasures up to 400 kg at 42 m/min - quiet as a whisper thanks to its 230 V electric motor.”

News outlets around the world have detailed this clever marketing pivot. But at Work Safety 24/7, we want to know what this product can actually lift... aside from stolen gems.

Customizable options for every need

Moving furniture, boxes, and other heavy, bulky objects is ergonomically challenging. Agilo is a powerful, mobile lift that can help reduce strain and injuries for furniture movers and other last mile logistics professionals.

  • Mobility and size: By combining a telescoping exterior lift with a vehicle, Agilo can be set up quickly and relocated rapidly thanks to its small overall dimensions.
  • Reach and capacity: Depending on model, Agilo can reach up to 180 feet high, easily accessing top floors. The carriage can move up to 137 feet per minute and carry up to 880 pounds. Fold-down side walls and an optional rotating, extendable platform increase loading area.
  • Safe setup: Hydraulic outriggers for ground support are complemented by a powerful lifting cylinder to raise and align the lift rails, with an optional hydraulic adjustable slewing ring. A hydraulic telescoping winch with a slack rope safety device extends the rails.
  • Ergonomics: A lower extension provides a floor-level loading height. The lift can be controlled by a wired stand or pendant, or by radio remote. Carriage inclination angle can be adjusted using a spindle or one-hand control.
  • Smooth operation: During operation, the smooth running carriage protects transported goods. Optional electro-hydraulic control permits head piece control, which can brake the carriage gently before reaching the stop position.
  • Drive options: Agilo is powered either by the truck's PTO auxiliary drive, a Honda gas engine, or electrically by using a detachable 230 V electric motor for low-emission work in residential areas.
  • Sustainability: Agilo is also available as a fully-electric vehicle. It avoids CO2 emissions both on the road and during furniture transportation, and is whisper-quiet in operation. An automatic stop-and-go system limits power consumption.

Agilo is fully customizable to suit each customer’s specific needs. The lift can be mounted on a Fuso Canter, Iveco Daily, or Mercedes Sprinter truck body.
