360 Immersive Earth Moving Equipment VR training

Meet OSHA standards with training on construction machinery hazards

By Work Safety 24/7 Staff

The Earthmoving Equipment Safety course from 360 Immersive introduces learners to controls and required safety features on various construction machinery like bulldozers and excavators.

It addresses potential hazards, such as blind spots and utility line contact. Emphasis is on safety features like seat belts and rollover protections (ROPS).

The course highlights the need for a regular preventative maintenance schedule, training on proper usage under various conditions, and the importance of operator training. It also guides on routine inspections and managing runaway equipment.

Walk through a simulated construction site

An interactive virtual reality (VR) simulation lets learners identify jobsite hazards, reinforcing safety awareness and protocols.

The simulation guides learners through a construction jobsite where they must identify common hazards related to different types of earthmoving equipment being operated.

Upon completing this course, learners will be able to:

  • Classify the main different types of earthmoving equipment
  • Develop an understanding of the importance of preventative maintenance & inspecting equipment
  • Identify different types of safety controls on earthmoving equipment
  • Identify hazards associated with earthmoving equipment

The course is designed to meet OSHA standards 29 CFR §1926.602 - Material handling equipment, 29 CFR §1910.178 - Powered industrial trucks., and other industry standards and best practices.

Interested parties can contact 360 Immersive's sales team to learn more information or purchase the course from ASTM International.
