The G 3050 Y spring-retractable grounding reel from Reelcraft can be used to ground equipment operating in hazardous atmospheres.

When properly clamped to the ground, the static discharge reel dissipates static electricity buildup, reducing the chances of sparking and the potential for explosion.

Using 3/32 inch O.D. steel aircraft cable, DC resistance is approximately one ohm per 50 feet of steel cable. The G 3050 Y clamp is rated for 100 amps and a maximum temperature of 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Features

  • Strength - Made from industrial-grade carbon steel.
  • Compact design - Reels require little mounting space for applications where space is a critical requirement.
  • Corrosion resistance - Steel components are powder coated for corrosion resistance. Steel cable is available with nylon coating for longer service life.
  • Easily adjust spring tension - Loosening two screws allows the user to add or remove spring tension.

Reelcraft Reels are distributed by Manufacturers Distributor, Inc. (mdi). The G 3050 Y is available from mdi and its distributors, including Grainger, Zoro, FastToolNow, Global Industrial Supply, J.M. Ellsworth, and Acme Tools.
