MaintainX, a San Francisco-based developer of maintenance and asset management platforms, will provide a look at how its software is helping manufacturers optimize their maintenance operations at ProMat 2025 in Chicago in Booth E13343.

The trade show will be held March 17-20 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Ill.

MaintainX CoPilot AI assistant on display

The company recently launched MaintainX CoPilot, an AI assistant purpose-built to support frontline teams with real-time maintenance guidance, and will demonstrate its capabilities at ProMat. Show attendees can see live demos, and learn how manufacturers are using MaintainX to reduce downtime, improve safety and optimize asset management.

MaintainX said it is in use by over 10,000 companies, including global manufacturers and supply chain organizations, to optimize maintenance operations and improve frontline efficiency. The mobile-first platform provides real-time insights, automated scheduling, and predictive maintenance tools that help businesses reduce downtime and control costs.

MaintainX said its customers using the platform report:

  • 33% reduction in unplanned downtime, leading to increased production capacity and revenue.
  • 32% decrease in maintenance costs, achieved through better resource planning and preventive maintenance.
  • 53% improvement in work order completion rates, driven by an intuitive, mobile-first experience.
  • Greater data visibility, allowing teams to standardize processes, identify bottlenecks, and improve decision-making.

The company also said the following deployments saw benefits, including:

  • Alstrohm reduced Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) by 90% by digitizing tribal knowledge and automating workflows.
  • Duracell cut per-site parts inventory costs by $50,000 annually by integrating MaintainX with SAP for more accurate stock tracking.
  • ColdTrack reduced downtime by 70% by digitizing maintenance workflows, improving parts tracking and eliminating paperwork, leading to more efficient logistics operations.
  • Tosca improved overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by 25 percentage points by replacing difficult-to-use legacy CMMS, streamlining work order processes and providing frontline teams with real-time data access to reduce downtime and improve maintenance efficiency.

An AI assistant for frontline workers

MaintainX CoPilot was released in February 2025 and the company says it is an AI assistant designed for maintenance technicians and frontline workers. Developed by the MaintainX engineering team, MaintainX CoPilot uses advanced AI models from Anthropic and OpenAI while being trained on company-specific work order history and verified OEM manuals. It transforms complex manuals into clear, step-by-step guidance accessible in real-time.

Technicians can ask MaintainX CoPilot natural language questions such as, “How do I replace the power module on this machine, and what safety steps are needed?” or “Have we previously used an HSD spindle on this machine?”

MaintainX CoPilot serves as an assistant available 24/7 on mobile devices, making it helpful for new technicians or those working with unfamiliar assets. The AI provides precise answers, reducing errors and ensuring work is done correctly the first time.

At ProMat 2025, MaintainX Co-Founder Nick Haase will join Jake Hall, host of the Manufacturing Millennial podcast, for a live discussion titled “Driving the Frontline Digital Transformation: How to Build the Data Foundations for AI Success.” The session will take place on Wednesday, March 19, from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM in Supply Chain Technology Theater 2.

The session will explore how manufacturers can create scalable digital foundations, retain critical knowledge and put AI to work in pragmatic and high-impact ways for their maintenance operations today.
