Elevated ledges of pallet flow lanes should be guarded to provide a safe environment for employees working on them at all times.

The pallet flow gate is a self-closing safety gate system that provides fall protection for employees working on the elevated ledges of the system.

The gates automatically open as the pallets are pushed into the system, and close behind the pallet once it is pushed through. This provides fall protection for employees that complies with OSHA regulations and ANSI standards.

Pallet flow lanes are located in many material handling and distribution facilities; these flow lanes are often decked over and employees do walk onto lanes from time to time, which is a fall hazard. By nature, pallet flow lanes are hard on safety gate mechanics as pallets continually are pushed through the safety gates into the system.

The rugged design provides for virtually no lifetime maintenance; the hinge springs that often fail after a large volume of pallets move through the system are no longer needed, and there is no need to stop the flow lanes to readjust tension settings.

The hingeless pallet flow safety gate design utilizes the technology patented under U.S. Patent 9,630,823 for the swinging style gate operations.

Key Product Features

  1. The new pallet flow lane gate design is hingeless; this means there are no springs that fail or tension settings to readjust after pallets are continually pushed into the system. This provides for very little lifetime maintenance, and offers long term cost savings for the lifetime of the system.
  2. The safety gate is self closing; it automatically opens as the pallet is pushed into the system and closes behind the pallet once it’s through which prevents employees from stepping onto or falling from the edge of a flow lane. The self-closing style of operations is patented under U.S. Patent 9,630,823.
  3. The new pallet flow gate design meets OSHA fall protection regulations and ANSI fall protection standards that require a safety barrier for employees at heights of 48 inches or more.
