The FAAST XT is the most recent addition to the award-winning FAAST aspirating smoke detector line from System Sensor. FAAST XT combines dual source optical smoke detection with advanced particle separation to provide highly sensitive smoke detection, even in areas with high levels of non-fire particulate. FAAST XT can cover up to 28,800 square feet (2,676 sq. m.) through four pipe inlets which are each monitored by ultrasonics for air flow. The device is highly configurable, with three selectable fan speeds, and offers an LCD and USB for ease of programming and device interaction. FAAST XT is approved for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D Hazardous Locations.

Like the rest of the FAAST Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology series the FAAST XT operates by drawing air into a patented, high-sensitivity smoke-sensing chamber through a pipe network. This approach enables the FAAST series to deliver highly accurate Standard Detection, Early Warning Fire Detection, and Very Early Warning Fire Detection that meets the needs of a variety of environments, including mission-critical facilities like data centers where downtime from smoke or fires can be incredibly costly.

All FAAST detectors come standard with Modbus connectivity for integration with building management systems. Intelligent FAAST detectors integrate directly with major fire alarm control panels with no extra hardware or software.
