Trumann, Arizona-based Roach Conveyors recently launched its patent-pending CrossX easy-transfer roller.

Roach Conveyors’ products will be on display at MODEX 2026 in booth B16932. The trade show is being hosted by MHI April 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Unlike traditional rollers that move items only in a forward direction, CrossX enables smooth and controlled redirection of packages and containers across conveyor lines. This capability significantly improves operational flexibility and supports more dynamic material handling processes.

Engineered specifically for parcel and package handling environments, the CrossX system addresses a common challenge where workers frequently push items across conveyor lines. By reducing the force required to move packages by up to 80%, the CrossX Roller helps relieve worker fatigue, minimize physical strain, and enhance overall productivity.

Drop directly into standard roller conveyor frames

CrossX is designed to transform standard roller conveyor sections into transverse top-push configurations quickly and cost-effectively. This new product delivers the functionality of a transverse roller top belt conveyor without the higher investment typically required.

CrossX is designed as a simple upgrade that adapts to any brand of 1.9-inch outside diameter grooved roller conveyor. Installation is fast and straightforward, as the rollers drop directly into existing conveyor frames without requiring modifications. This ease of integration allows facilities to upgrade performance without costly system overhauls or downtime.

In addition to improving ergonomics, the CrossX system enables efficient product reorientation across the conveyor surface. Cartons, totes, and irregular loads can change direction smoothly in a manner similar to a ball transfer, expanding handling capabilities without additional equipment.

Whether enhancing existing conveyor lines or designing new system layouts, Roach Conveyors said its CrossX can deliver smooth transfers, durable construction, and an ergonomic solution that scales with operational needs.
