PrePass Adds Real-Time Work Zone Alerts for Truck Drivers

PrePass Safety Alliance and HAAS Alert are partnering to bring real-time work zone and emergency vehicle alerts to truck drivers through the PrePass Mobile App.

The companies announced Tuesday that HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud Alert technology will now be integrated into PrePass Safety Alerts, giving commercial drivers warnings about emergency scenes, work zones, and roadside hazards across the lower 48 states.

The alerts will be delivered directly through the PrePass Mobile App without requiring additional hardware or separate apps. Drivers will receive audible and visual warnings before reaching active emergency scenes or work zones, giving them more time to slow down or move over safely.

According to the companies, the Safety Cloud platform automatically detects hazards when emergency vehicles activate warning lights or when work zone equipment is deployed. The system then sends real-time alerts to approaching drivers.

The new alerts add to the existing PrePass Safety Alerts features, which already include warnings for weather conditions, traffic slowdowns, road restrictions, and parking availability.

The companies said the partnership is designed to help fleets improve driver awareness and support compliance with Move Over laws, which are now in place in all 50 states.

PrePass said the partnership combines its nationwide trucking network with HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud platform, which is already used by emergency responders, law enforcement agencies, transportation departments, towing companies, utility fleets, and work zone contractors.

The companies described the rollout as the first nationwide partnership of its kind to bring roadside hazard alerts directly to truck drivers through a single mobile platform.
