Safety technology provider Matrix Design Group recently showcased its OmniPro Vision AI forklift collision avoidance system at the 2025 Safety Congress & Exposition.
The show was hosted by The National Safety Council (NSC) Sept. 15-17 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
Matrix said it delivers purpose-built products and automation technologies to industries around the world to help make operations smarter, safer, and more efficient.
The company engineers intelligent systems including collision avoidance and proximity detection systems, high-speed network solutions, atmospheric monitoring devices and industrial-grade lighting.
Above all, Matrix said it is committed to protecting lives - helping every worker make it home safely at the end of the day. Matrix’s mission is to develop, supply, and support technology that enhances productivity and improves safety in warehouse and mining operations.
OmniPro Vision AI is a pedestrian collision avoidance system for forklifts that can reduce warehouse incidents and help operators make smarter safety decisions. Its camera and display systems provide real-time visibility for industrial operators that helps forklift operators monitor blind spots, improve awareness, and prevent accidents.
OmniPro Vision AI is intended for a variety of industries, including material handling, logistics, mining, quarrying, construction, recycling, tunnels, airports, and public works.
Matrix said the most common problems that have generated inquiries about OmniPro include:
OmniPro Vision AI won the NIOSH Mine Safety & Health Technology Innovation Award in 2020.
Matrix said OmniPro is easy to install, operate and maintain. The system includes cameras, a centralized network hub, and a desktop reporting system.
OmniPro’s cameras are compact and highly durable for harsh, high-vibration warehouse and material handling environments. Each camera can monitor up to five fully-customized zones.
The Hub is a centralized networking device that serves as a point of connectivity for multiple devices. Each OmniPro Hub can operate up to four cameras.
OmniPro Vision AI’s desktop reporting provides authorized users with 24/7 access to software tools and a dashboard with real-time metrics and analytics.
