Norton, Kansas-based aluminum extruder and fabricator New Age Industrial will showcase its new machine guards, ergonomic workstation, and fire-safe pallets at MODEX 2026 in booth B15719.

The trade show is being hosted by MHI April 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia.

As the supply chain industry faces mounting pressure to automate while maintaining strict safety compliance, New Age Industrial said it is debuting a suite of "automation-ready" equipment designed to optimize high-velocity fulfillment centers.

"Productivity isn't just about speed - it's about removing the friction that slows people down," said Scott Schrum, New Age Industrial Material Handling Division national sales manager. "Our 2026 lineup is designed to increase productivity by shaving minutes off pick cycles while meeting the most stringent safety compliance standards."

New products on display

At its booth, New Age Industrial will showcase:

  • The material handling industry debut of its Aluminum Security Fence with dual sliding doors, providing secure, rust and corrosion-resistant storage segregation for high-value inventory and hazardous materials
  • NEW Aluminum Machine Guard Safety Fencing illustrating modular, rust-proof protection for automated cells and enhancing facility safety
  • NEW 54454T Towable Order Picker (OP) Cage for multi-unit transport and 53993 Picking Cart with ergonomic handles designed to reduce musculoskeletal strain and worker fatigue
  • Live demonstrations of its NEW 51851R IT Technician Cart, a non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant specialized OP Cage providing a safe, high-reach platform for maintaining sensitive, high-value server environments
  • NEW 54552 Lightweight Aluminum Pallet is engineered for seamless integration into automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) offering a rust-proof alternative to wood or plastic
  • Its range of height-leveling Ergo Stands with anti-slip decking to address height discrepancies at fixed-height workstations

As data centers scale to unprecedented heights, the 51851R addresses the industry's most pressing challenge: performing complex hardware maintenance at elevation. This specialized OP platform transforms a standard lift into a sophisticated, mobile, “Hyperscale Server Crash Cart.”

“The 51851R is more than just a platform - it is a mobile workbench designed for the world’s most demanding digital environments,” said Tom Sharp, New Age Industrial Corp VP. “By bringing the technician and their tools directly to the rack face, we are significantly reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) while ensuring the safety of both the operator and the expensive hardware they manage.”

The 51851R is precision-engineered with features tailored for sensitive electronic environments:

  • ESD-Safe Protection: Each of the seven solid shelves features static-dissipative UHMW surfaces. Combined with ESD-rated casters, the system prevents static discharge during transit - a critical requirement for protecting sensitive servers and storage arrays.
  • Ergonomic Sliding Shelf: A specialized left-to-right sliding shelf allows technicians to slide heavy hardware directly from the rack onto the workstation with perfect alignment, eliminating manual lifting and awkward reaching.
  • Massive Capacity, Minimal Weight: Constructed from high-tensile extruded aluminum, the platform boasts a 1,500 pound weight capacity, easily handling heavy UPS backups and blade servers.
  • Seamless Lift Integration: Specifically designed for Raymond lift types (and customizable for others), the platform features a matched 4.3125 inch deck height to eliminate trip hazards, alongside a secure oak-block gripper connection.

Whether in a colocation facility, a telecommunications hub, or a massive cloud-computing center, New Age Industrial said its 51851R provides a secure "tech-nest" for rapid deployment and firmware updates. Built with fully-welded construction, it is backed by a lifetime guarantee against rust and corrosion - essential for strictly-regulated data center climates.

54552 Automation-Ready Aluminum Pallet

Naturally non-combustible and non-sparking, the 54552 ASRS Pallet helps facilities comply with NFPA Standard 1, potentially eliminating the need for costly fire suppression upgrades. Source: New Age Industrial

Engineered for seamless integration with ASRS, the new pallet offers a durable, rust-proof, and fire-resistant alternative to traditional wood or plastic options.

The 54552 solves critical facility compliance challenges. Naturally non-combustible and non-sparking, these pallets help facilities comply with NFPA Standard 1, potentially eliminating the need for costly fire suppression upgrades often required for combustible plastic or wood pallets.

Constructed from high-tensile extruded aluminum with a 10-gauge tubular frame, the 54552 weighs just 37.5 pounds. This low tare weight maximizes payload capacity and reduces strain on AMR drive motors while maintaining the structural integrity required for high-density staging. The pallet supports static loads up to 15,000 pounds and dynamic/rackable loads up to 2,000 pounds.

“The shift toward 'lights-out' automation requires equipment that delivers absolute dimensional consistency,” Schrum said. “The 54552 aluminum pallet was designed to eliminate the friction points of traditional pallets—such as splintering wood or warping plastic—ensuring that automated sensors and conveyors operate without interruption while providing the durability our customers rely on.”

Product details:

  • Automation-Ready Precision: Robotic-weld construction ensures dimensional stability, critical for error-free tracking in high-volume automated systems.
  • Sanitary & Metal Detectable: Non-porous aluminum is easy to sanitize, impervious to pests, and fully metal detectable - ideal for food processing and pharmaceutical environments.
  • Sustainability: 100% recyclable and backed by a lifetime rust and corrosion guarantee.
  • Made in the USA: Proudly American-designed and manufactured at New Age Industrial’s facility in Kansas.

Benefits of aluminum construction

New Age’s high-strength aluminum builds offer the durability of steel at a fraction of the weight, with additional safety benefits including:

  • Fire-Resistant & Non-Sparking: Aluminum is naturally non-combustible and non-sparking, making it the safest choice for high-tech, chemical, or explosive-sensitive environments.
  • Sustainability: Aluminum is infinitely recyclable, helping facilities meet environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals without sacrificing strength.
  • Unmatched Cleanliness & Longevity: Aluminum is non-porous and rust-proof. It is easy to sanitize for cleanroom or harsh wash-down cycles and high-humidity environments.

Visitors to Booth B15719 can consult directly with New Age Industrial’s engineering and sales team to discuss personalized, custom-fabricated products. With all products being American designed and manufactured, the company offers versatility for facilities looking to modernize their infrastructure.
