Keyence Corp. of America: GL-S safety light curtain

Light curtain fits into tight spaces

January 16, 2014

Created for use in limited square-footage spaces, the GL-S safety light curtain by Keyence is offered in front and side view models for easy installation into equipment with tight dimension restrictions.

It provides Type 4 level protection and features highly visible, three-color status indicators that are easily seen from any angle. Externally controlled to illuminate green, red or orange to indicate work steps, the system reduces the need for additional equipment.

Other functions include built-in muting, external device monitoring and interlock device. To reduce installation time, the system uses built-in mounting brackets and selectable wiring options for simple integrations.
