By using RFID technology, SI-RF Series safety switches can monitor the mechanical guards that separate employees from hazards—either alone (to protect single machine access points) or in a cascade series (to protect multiple access points in a more simplified manner).
Whether they’re used alone or in a series, the safety switches have been able to achieve Category 4, PL e or SIL CL 3 safety ratings.
They feature an RFID safety sensor that can determine whether RFID coded actuators, which are installed on guards, are absent, present or moved.
Any potential detected faults help ensure operations are conducted as safely as possible.
SI-RF Series safety switches utilize RFID technology to monitor doors, gates, and other movable mechanical safeguards that separate personnel and equipment from a hazard.
They will send a signal to the machine control system to prevent or stop hazardous situations when the guard is not in the proper position.
