SHOWA 240 Arc Flash Gloves

ANSI-rated cut and puncture resistant Kevlar gloves with Neoprene grip

By Work Safety 24/7 Staff

The 240 flame-resistant Kevlar-knit gloves from SHOWA are suitable for TIG and light MIG welding.

These arc flash Category 2 gloves meets National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E standards, with an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of 9.2 cal/cm2 to protect hands from flames, flashes, and sparks to avoid burns.

These gloves are also cut-resistant to protect against lacerations and some punctures caused by handling sharp items, such as metal and glass. They are ANSI/ISEA cut level A4, puncture level 4, and abrasion level 3 rated, capable of withstanding 100 N of force.

These gloves are irritation-free and have a neoprene coating for handling dry and oily workpieces. Neoprene is soft, flexible, and heat resistant, providing a good grip in dry conditions. The rough surface grip offers excellent comfort when working for long periods of time.

The 240 arc flash gloves are available from SHOWA distributors, including Grainger, Zoro, eSafety Supplies, Saf-T-Gard International, and MDS Associates.
