MODEX 2026: UgoWork UL-listed lithium-ion batteries approved for KION equipment

Québec-based energy systems provider UgoWork recently announced its lithium-ion battery systems have been formally approved for use in Linde material handling equipment.

UgoWork also introduced a new generation of AI-powered fleet intelligence capabilities at MODEX 2026. The trade show was hosted by MHI April 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Customers can choose best forklift power system for their operations

The approval allows Linde customers to integrate UgoWork’s UL-listed energy systems alongside KION’s existing batteries, giving its customers flexibility in choosing the forklift power system that best supports their operational objectives.

For material handling teams running multiple shifts and in cold/hot environments, the combination can help improve throughput and extend the lifespan of battery investments.

Linde, a part of KION Group, manufactures forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, and is a service provider for intralogistics. The company is represented in all major regions around the world through a service network spanning more than 100 countries.
