Québec-based energy systems provider UgoWork recently announced its lithium-ion battery systems have been formally approved for use in Linde material handling equipment.
UgoWork also introduced a new generation of AI-powered fleet intelligence capabilities at MODEX 2026. The trade show was hosted by MHI April 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The approval allows Linde customers to integrate UgoWork’s UL-listed energy systems alongside KION’s existing batteries, giving its customers flexibility in choosing the forklift power system that best supports their operational objectives.
For material handling teams running multiple shifts and in cold/hot environments, the combination can help improve throughput and extend the lifespan of battery investments.
Linde, a part of KION Group, manufactures forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, and is a service provider for intralogistics. The company is represented in all major regions around the world through a service network spanning more than 100 countries.
“Linde has a long-standing reputation for building robust, precision-engineered lift trucks, and our energy solutions are designed to complement that standard,” said David Mucciacciaro, UgoWork CEO. “This approval means Linde customers can count on our leading lithium-ion battery solutions that support the performance of their fleet while offering a clear path to efficiency, safety, and long-term cost control. We’re very proud to be part of an energy ecosystem that lets customers choose which OEM solution works best for them.”
Built on years of connected battery data, UgoWork said its latest advancements AI-powered fleet intelligence capabilities introduced at MODEX introduce a new way for operators to turn energy data into actionable operational insight, helping teams identify inefficiencies, improve throughput, and make faster, better-informed decisions in increasingly constrained environments.
“In the most recent part of my career, I have worked closely in the material handling industry. Understanding key differentiators and the importance of the Total Cost of Ownership and uptime, I’ve seen how much performance is left on the table due to a lack of visibility,” Mucciacciaro said. “What impressed me when joining UgoWork is the foundation that was already in place - smart telematics with connected systems generating real data. What we’re bringing to MODEX is the ability to turn that data into predictive action. At a time when margins are tightening, that’s not a ‘nice to have’ - it’s becoming essential.”
At its booth, UgoWork conducted live analysis sessions based on real operational data and offered a 90-day performance evaluation program for qualified participants, early access to new AI-powered capabilities for select customers, and an exclusive buy nine batteries and get the 10th free promotion.
Following the recent appointment of its new CEO - an American leader based in the Midwest - and the opening of its Midwest manufacturing facility, UgoWork said it continues to accelerate its expansion across the North American market, bringing production, expertise, and decision-making closer to customers.
