Fort Worth, Texas-based loading dock and trailer equipment provider Bluff Manufacturing recently launched its Core Model Portable Yard Ramp.
Bluff’s products will be on display at MODEX 2026 in 4Front Engineered Solutions’ booths A5725, A5728, and A5928. The trade show is being hosted by MHI April 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Designed as Bluff’s most streamlined and value-engineered yard ramp, the Core Model delivers the essential strength, safety, and performance that facility operators rely on without added complexity or unnecessary features. Built with all-steel welded construction and rated for 20,000 pounds, the Core Model provides efficient ground-to-truck and ground-to-building access that can help teams work smarter, move faster, and stay productive.
“With the Core Model, our goal was to design a ramp that focuses on what matters most - strength, safety, and long-term durability,” said Kyle Nobile, Bluff senior manufacturing engineer. “Every detail, from the 36-foot length to the welded steel construction, was engineered to perform day after day in real world conditions.”
The ramp’s 36-foot overall length with a 6-foot level-off creates a smooth, controlled incline for safer forklift operation, while the 84-inch wide deck allows confident maneuverability. A double-acting hydraulic pump enables quick height adjustments to accommodate a wide range of trailer heights, improving efficiency across changing workflows.
Positioning the ramp is simple thanks to a full undercarriage and solid 18-inch rubber tires, allowing teams to move it where it’s needed most.
Standard safety features - including 8-inch run-off curbs, safety chains, serrated steel grating, and diamond tread plate - provide reliable traction and operator confidence, even in harsh yard conditions.
Every Bluff Core Yard Ramp is designed, tested, and manufactured in the USA, and proven through 35,000 full-load test cycles, reinforcing Bluff’s reputation for long-term performance and reliability.
