Digital Lumens: LightRules Software for Intelligent Industrial Lighting

Software automates testing, reporting on emergency lighting

By Digital Lumens
March 21, 2016

New LightRules software by Digital Lumens streamlines testing and reporting of intelligent industrial lighting fixtures that provide NFPA-101-compliant light levels in the event of an emergency.

In addition to automating safety testing and reporting, the system includes a battery-backup fixture accessory that provides 90 minutes of emergency lighting in case of power interruption. Facility managers can schedule and perform automated emergency lighting.

The software also remotely evaluates all connected emergency lighting fixtures and documents results, and eliminates the need to shut down areas of a facility for manual fixture testing. For compliance with fire and life safety codes, the software maintains a comprehensive audit record of all tests.
