Provider of industrial automation systems KEB America, the North American subsidiary of KEB Automation KG, recently showcased its motion control suite for robotics and automation systems engineers at Automate 2025.
The trade show was hosted by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) May 12-15 at the Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit, Mich.
KEB said by integrating its S6 servo drives, TA servo motors, Compact 3 embedded controllers, and X1 human-machine interfaces (HMIs), automation manufacturers can achieve precise and efficient handling of their machine’s dynamic movements.
KEB America showcased coordinated motion in its booth, including an interactive demo featuring four S6 servo drives powering four TA servo motors, which worked together to precisely synchronize the back-and-forth motion of interlacing screws.
The coordinated camming profiles in this motion were powered by KEB’s Compact 3 embedded controller. Visualization of the operation was handled by the X1 HMI, utilizing the latest version of HELIO HMI software.
“We added safety light curtains for attendees to directly experience the S6's safety features, safe limited speed (SLS) and safe torque off (STO) in real-time operation,” said Jonathan Bullick, National Sales Manager at KEB America.
