Honeywell has introduced new AI-powered tools designed to make energy operations more efficient, boost productivity, and improve decision-making. The company’s new tools combine decades of industry knowledge with advanced artificial intelligence to help both experienced and new employees navigate complex industrial processes. Honeywell is using AI to make plant operations more efficient and boost worker productivity, addressing industry challenges like worker shortages and the need for smoother operations.

A key part of Honeywell’s offering is the Experion Operations Assistant, which uses explainable AI to help operators identify and solve production issues. The tool provides real-time, step-by-step guidance, which not only improves current operations but also helps upskill less experienced workers by providing them with access to industry knowledge. The solution is part of Honeywell's larger vision of empowering industrial employees to work smarter and accelerate their path to expertise.

Honeywell has also announced a new partnership with Chevron, focused on improving refining operations through additional AI-enabled solutions. This collaboration aims to drive efficiency and operational improvements in the energy industry.

Additionally, the AI-powered Honeywell Field Process Knowledge System (PKS) incorporates mobile tools for field workers and web-based applications for supervisors, providing a centralized platform to manage tasks, maintenance, and operations more easily.

“As the industrial workforce experiences a skills and experience gap globally, the worker is still an integral part of the automation journey,” said Lucian Boldea, President and CEO of Honeywell Industrial Automation. “Honeywell’s technologies are enabled by AI to help improve the performance of the industrial workforce – enabling workers to increase efficiency and rapidly accelerate their time to expertise.”
