Serapid: Telescopic rigid chain device

Pipe inspection product uses telescopic rigid chain

By 24/7 Staff
June 26, 2014

Optimized for use in pipe inspection and processing applications, a telescopic rigid chain device by Serapid can extend through the inside of pipes for size checks, scarf removals, deburring, part placement or assembly assistance.

Also known as a push chain or push-pull chain, the unit can extend 60 feet or more at speeds of 100 feet per minute (depending on load). Features include a standard open loop, locking link and compact storage.

To avoid surface wear or damage, the chain is outfitted with large support rollers that extend below the level of the link plates to keep the chain slightly above the pipe’s inner diameter.
