Gorbel Inc. recently demonstrated its GS VFD variable-frequency drive (VFD) electric chain hoist with built-in safety features and Destuff-it 2.0 portable ergonomic conveyor at MODEX 2026.

The trade show was hosted by MHI April 13-16 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Destuff-it 2.0 builds on 15 years of development

After entering the warehousing equipment industry fifteen years ago with the Destuff-it portable ergonomic conveyor, Gorbel announced its Destuff-it 2.0 at MODEX.

Designed to help workers unload floor‑loaded trailers, this reimagined portable conveyor further improves safety and user-friendliness while providing a boost to productivity:

  • Intuitive Handling - The Destuff-it 2.0 introduces a joystick drive control and human-machine interface (HMI). Learning to operate the portable conveyor will be fast and easy for new operators. Refined maneuverability and acceleration will also optimize travel through trailers and loading docks.
  • Three Belt Conveyor - A redesigned pivoting conveyor with a 165 pound capacity will get even closer to box walls and enable operators to handle more packages while reducing strain. During testing, case rates soared to over 1,200 cases per hour.
  • Safety and Service Features - The Destuff-it 2.0 operates on a 120V power supply, reducing electrical hazards while simplifying installation and rentals. Additional safety features include emergency stops, safety sensors, improved lighting, and a new HMI operator interface, which also assists service technicians during troubleshooting.
  • Multiple Configurations - Two configurations are available. The DT200 includes an operator platform, lifting workers 30 inches from the floor, to help them ergonomically reach the top of a box wall within fully floor-loaded trailers. The DT100 saves space by excluding the operator platform, while still improving both ergonomics and productivity.

As VFDs continue to set the performance standard across the industrial lifting market, Gorbel said this hoist can provide a powerful lifting experience and long-term reliability.

Designed to offer users smoother control and greater precision in demanding industrial environments, the GS VFD Hoist features field-adjustable acceleration and deceleration.

The hoist is available in half‑ton, 1‑ton, and 2‑ton capacities, with 230V and 460V power options. Built-in thermal monitoring and enhanced braking also contribute to overall system safety and efficiency.

From manufacturing floors and assembly lines to warehouses or construction environments, Gorbel said its GS VFD Electric Chain Hoist can adapt to a wide range of applications. Its durable design, quiet operation, and reduced wear and tear make it a smart long-term investment for customers seeking a reliable, high-precision lifting system.
