Automatic vehicle weighing increases efficiency, reduces costs

A complete driver-assist system by Fairbanks Scales automates vehicle weighing and identification at landfills, recycling plants, and other waste- and recycling-focused materials handling applications.

Through simple, seamless acquisition and integration of weight data, the system improves weighing operations’ efficiency and reduces costs. The system can be installed with a visual and audio prompt that directs drivers scan a short-range RFID card and respond to standardized queries prior to weighing the vehicle.

Captured information is sent to a centralized server that processes transactions multiple stations; the system also relays real-time information to the driver, and prints a final transaction ticket.
