ABB Jokab Safety: Safety Contact Mats

Protect personnel around equipment with safety contact mats

ABB Jokab Safety: Safety Contact Mats
By ABB Jokab Safety
August 20, 2013

A line of safety contact mats by ABB Jokab Safety safeguards personnel around machines, presses, robots and other types of active equipment.

When connected to a monitoring system and placed as a boundary around potentially hazardous equipment, the surface triggers a control signal that stops nearby equipment when someone steps on it. A switch inside the mat ensures immediate stoppage.

Features include a dotted polyurethane non-slip surface layer that is impervious to oil, acid or caustic substances. The mats come in standard sizes ranging from 12 x 12 inches to 48 x 60 inches and can be affixed together or mounted to the floor with either aluminum ramp rails or integrated rubber ramp trim.
