Flexible, lightweight work gloves incorporate abrasion-resistant coating

By Ansell
May 6, 2014

Two new HyFlex ultra-durable and light-duty work glove styles have been introduced by Ansell.

The 11-818 and 11-840 gloves incorporate abrasion resistance technology: a thin, resilient and breathable nitrile foam coating applied to knitted gloves. The coating extends the gloves’ working life and improves their comfort in abrasive applications.

Engineered to be lightweight, the gloves offer enhanced dexterity, allowing workers to better feel what they are handling or doing. For palm protection, a seamless 15-gauge nylon-spandex liner (11-840) and 18-gauge nylon liner (11-818)—combined with a thin palm coating—provide protection equal to heavier gloves, but with bare hand-like feel.
