By Work Safety 24/7 Staff

The MAE Series complete pre-engineered fire detection and suppression system from Fireboy-Xintex is A-B-C Rated using FK-5-1-12 clean extinguishing agent and a patent-pending electric release.

It features a unique “Proofing Pin” system to verify the extinguisher is active, multi-extinguisher systems, fast installation with one technician, competitive pricing for total installed cost, and no engineering or piping calculations required. All components are included in the kit:

  • Two Photo-Electric Smoke Detectors
  • One Pull Station
  • One Fire Bell
  • Two Horn/Strobes
  • Release Panel
  • One Abort Switch
  • One Disablement Switch
  • Pre-engineered MAE Suppression System (155 degrees Fahrenheit) with FK-5-1-12 Clean Extinguishing Agent
  • One Extinguisher Circuit Test Module
  • Two Caution / Warning Signs
  • Safety Pin Supervision System
  • Quick Connect Electrical Connectors
  • Power Supply

Multi-extinguisher Systems

MAE pre-engineered fire detection and suppression systems are now expanded to cover up to 5,400 cu. ft. The control system stays the same and additional extinguishers of the same size can be added to the system.

  • When used on a multiple extinguisher MAE system, each extinguisher includes an empty bulb and burst disc.
  • All extinguishers need to be the same size, totaling the actual protected volume.
  • A manual backup extinguishant release system is also included.

Release Panel UL864 certified

The UL864 and FM approved release panel features a large led display and is available in red or gray finish. The release panel supervises power supply and the proofing pin.

It can be configured for first stage NAC delays, detection delays, releasing delays up to 60 seconds, and releasing duration up to 5 minutes in 5 second steps. The panel runs off a 115/1/60 or 230/1/50 or 60 supply voltage.
