The Look Out 1 Rack warning system from Collision Awareness can be easily rack-mounted to monitor movement in designated areas, providing visual and optional audible alarms.

The Look Out 1 Rack unit from Collision Awareness is engineered to address risk of collisions between forklifts and pedestrians by providing proactive alerts to enhance employee safety and operational efficiency.

Features

  • Motion Detection: The unit utilizes motion detection sensors to monitor movement in designated areas, detecting approaching traffic from multiple directions in a 90-degree wide range, up to 35 by 35 feet for each sensor.
  • Visual Alerts: Upon detecting motion, the unit activates bright LED lights to warn both forklift operators and pedestrians alike of potential traffic just around the corner or in their blind spot.
  • Optional Audible Alarm: In addition to visual cues, the unit can emit an 88-decibel audible alarm to ensure awareness, even in noisy environments.
  • Rack-Mounted Design: Specifically designed to be mounted on warehouse racking, it provides optimal coverage without occupying valuable floor space.
  • Durable Construction: Steel construction and robust components withstand the rigors of industrial settings, ensuring longevity and reliability.
  • Easy Installation: Requiring only a few minutes to set up, the rack-mounted design allows for straightforward installation without significant modifications to existing structures. The sensors are self-calibrating and mounting hardware is included. Additionally, an electrician is not required for installation. Power supplies simply plug into an existing 110/120V outlet and are available in lengths from 15 to 100 feet.

Benefits

  • Accident Prevention: By alerting personnel to oncoming traffic, the unit significantly reduces the likelihood of collisions, increasing workplace safety and reducing employer liability.
  • Enhanced Productivity: With improved safety measures in place, operations can proceed with improved awareness and greater efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Implementing such safety units aids in meeting occupational safety standards and regulations.
  • Cost Savings: Preventing accidents not only safeguards personnel, but also reduces liability as well as potential costs associated with damages and downtime.
  • Low Maintenance: Designed for durability, the unit requires minimal upkeep, ensuring continuous operation with little intervention.

Applications

Our Look Out 1 Rack is versatile and can be deployed in various scenarios, including:

  • High-Traffic Intersections: Areas where pedestrian pathways intersect with forklift routes.
  • 90 degree Blind Corners: Locations with limited visibility where collisions are more likely.
  • Aisle Exits: Points where forklifts exit storage aisles into main thoroughfares.

The Look Out 1 Rack is available on Collision Awareness’ website and other distributors.
